Data and security

The Time Machine works from what Nilear already follows for your company in ConnectWise and MTX:

  • tickets’ status changes, to know when each member had a ticket In Progress;
  • members’ time entries: hours, work type, billable flag, board and company;
  • members’ working calendars, for their working day;
  • schedule entries, for missed schedules on the board;
  • each member’s availability: unavailable statuses (Lunch, AFK, PTO, Off and others), work location and return times, set in MTX, from Microsoft Teams with Nilear Live, or synced from ConnectWise’s In/Out Board.

It never changes anything in ConnectWise, except that with the In/Out Board 2-way Sync turned on, a status set in Nilear is also set on ConnectWise’s In/Out Board.

Nilear keeps each member’s day: when they were working which ticket, unavailable or available, and their recorded time and ticket counts. That is what lets the Time Machine show any past day and moment.

  • Only members with Time Machine access can open it: see Settings and access.
  • By default, those members see everyone’s chips and availability. Turn on Restrict Chips and Strips on Time Machine or Restrict Viewing Availability of Others to limit members who are not Managers or Admins to their own. How
  • A ticket’s summary, company and board are shown on the board only to a viewer with rights to the ticket in ConnectWise; others see its number alone.

The Time Machine shows each member’s working day minute by minute. Tell your team what it shows and who can see it, and use it to support them, not only to measure them.
