Configuration scoring
The Configurations module promotes good documentation: creating and updating ConnectWise configurations, completing your clients’ unfinished and missing configurations, and attaching configurations to tickets.
Creating and updating
Section titled “Creating and updating”| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Create a configuration | +240 |
| Create a configuration that is missing information | +80 |
| Create an N/A placeholder, such as Wireless Settings – N/A | +10 |
| Update a configuration | +80 |
| Update a configuration that is missing information | +10 |
| Update an N/A placeholder | 0 |
Not all configurations are equal: points follow the quality and completeness of the documentation.
Attaching configurations to tickets
Section titled “Attaching configurations to tickets”| Attached to | Points |
|---|---|
| A service or project ticket | +40 |
| Another ticket, not on a monitoring board | +10 |
| A monitoring ticket | 0 |
| Any ticket, while the configuration has warnings | 0 |
| An N/A configuration | −120 |
Configurations others use
Section titled “Configurations others use”When someone else attaches a valid configuration to a ticket, its creator and its last updater receive utilization points: +40 for a service or project ticket, +10 for another ticket that is not on a monitoring board, 0 for a monitoring ticket. You receive them only when someone other than you attaches it.
The Configuration Checklist multiplier
Section titled “The Configuration Checklist multiplier”Every positive point is multiplied by your Configuration Checklist percentage, from Configuration Station:
1.00 − (missing required configurations ÷ required configuration count) − ((configurations with warnings ÷ active configuration count) × 0.25)
- An Account Manager or Primary Tech whose companies reach 100% coverage has their score multiplied by 1.5 instead of 1.0.
- A member who is Account Manager or Primary Tech for no company counts as 100%.
- The percentages are brought up to date when someone opens the Configuration Checklist page in Configuration Station.
When points are given
Section titled “When points are given”Points are given in near real time, as a configuration is created, updated or attached. When the ticket closes, points that no longer apply, such as for a configuration no longer attached, are removed.
