Data and security

  • Your configuration types and their questions, company types, agreement types, boards, work types and work roles.
  • Companies and their agreements, to work out which types each client must have.
  • Configurations, with all their fields, questions, attachments and tickets.

It reads with your company’s ConnectWise integration in Nilear.

When Written
Someone changes a configuration in Configuration Station or MTX That field of the configuration, at once.
Someone creates or deletes a configuration The configuration.
An administrator chooses a review board A ticket source named Config Review, if missing.
Someone generates a review ticket A service ticket on the review board, with the configuration attached and a first note.
Someone works a review ticket The ticket’s tasks and time, as MTX writes them for any ticket.

The type settings (review cycle, required fields, company and agreement types, reviewers) and review instructions are kept in Nilear, not in ConnectWise. Each configuration’s last review date is kept in Nilear too.

An MFA secret is stored where you put it: as the answer to a configuration question in ConnectWise. Configuration Station conceals it on screen. When someone clicks VIEW MFA TOKEN, Nilear’s server works out the current 6-digit code from the secret and returns it to their browser; ConnectWise is not involved. Anyone who can open the configuration in Configuration Station can display the secret and its code, so limit Config Station access to the people who should.

Members with Config Station access can open your clients’ configurations in Configuration Station and MTX. Only administrators change review settings. See Access.
