Set members' External AI levels

A member’s External AI level caps what an AI client acting for them may do. It never widens it: the client can also do only what the member may do themselves. You need the Admin level.

Level Their AI client may
No Access Not connect. A live connection’s calls are refused.
Read Only Use every tool except Set availability: read their ticket, find similar tickets, post suggestions, read availability.
Read/Write, Manager, Admin Also use Set availability.

The ticket and availability tools also need MTX on for the member. See Access levels.

  1. Sign in at my.nilear.com and open Account, then Members.
  2. Find the External AI column. It appears once External AI is switched on.
  3. To set everyone’s starting point, choose a level in the Defaults row’s External AI cell. Members without a level of their own follow it.
  4. To set one member, choose a level in their External AI cell, or the Default choice (which names the level it gives) to have them follow the default again.

The change applies to the member’s next call: every call is checked against their level at that moment. A member lowered to No Access cannot call any tool, though their connection stays listed until it is revoked.

  • A member whose NilearX level is Admin is Admin in External AI.
  • A member whose NilearX level is No Access has No Access in External AI.
  • A member’s External AI level may be higher than their NilearX level.
