Combine groups or licenses
A mapping can draw its count from more than one group or license. For example:
- Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft 365 E3 users billed together as one “Managed Users” addition;
- every user except those with only Exchange Online (Plan 1), on a company-wide mapping;
- a group’s members who also hold a license.

Section titled “Combine”-
Create the first mapping and choose its addition: map a group, map Microsoft 365 licenses or bill every user.
-
On the mapping’s header, click the merge button (Map 2 or more Licenses to a single Agreement Addition).
-
In Map 2 or More Groups (or Licenses) to One Agreement Addition, choose each additional group or license from the list.
-
For each one, choose how it combines:
Method Counts Union Members of either Intersection Only members of both Difference Members of the first that are not in the second -
Click CLOSE, then perform and commit a sync.
The additional groups are listed under Additional Groups Merged (or Licenses). With more than one, you can change the order they are applied in; the order matters when you mix methods. Add Additional Merge Group adds another.
Dynamic groups can be merged like any other group, for example Licensed Users to count only licensed members of a group.
