Peer Review and Configuration Review

The Peer Review module lets your team review and score each other’s work, and rewards them for doing so. It builds a culture of mutual accountability and gives members feedback from the people they work with. Members submit reviews from Microsoft Teams through Nilear Live: see Submit a peer review.

  • There is no deadline and no minimum number of reviews; nobody is penalized for not reviewing.
  • A review by a manager is worth twice as much.
Rating Meaning
1 star, Bad Performed well below expectations, or put a client relationship in jeopardy.
2 stars, Poor Performed slightly below standard and needs some improvement.
3 stars, Good Performed above the standard and should keep doing it.
4 stars, Great Performed well above the standard, benefiting you or others, or improving a client relationship.
Could Improve By A suggestion rather than a rating.

For the member reviewed:

Rating Points From a manager
1 star −4 −8
2 stars −2 −4
3 stars +2 +4
4 stars +4 +8
Could Improve By +1 +1

For the reviewer, on a working day:

  • 2 points for their first review of the day, public or private;
  • 1 point for their first public review of each rating in the day.

For a like: when someone likes a posted review, the reviewer gets 1 point, the member reviewed gets 1 point, and the member who liked it gets 1 point for their first like of the working day. You cannot like your own review, but you can like one about you.

Reviews and likes on a day off earn no points.

  • The reviewer stays anonymous unless they are a manager.
  • A review goes live at a random time one to two hours after it is submitted. A review submitted in the evening, at night or at the weekend goes live the next working morning. A manager’s review goes live at once.
  • Each member can see their own Peer Review score; other members’ scores are hidden, except from managers.

The Configuration Review module works exactly like Peer Review, but members review and score each other’s documentation, their ConnectWise configurations, rather than their work on a ticket. It keeps your configurations accurate, complete and useful to the whole team. The reviews themselves are made in Configuration Station.
