Split a mapping by OU
Sometimes one license or group must be billed on several additions, for example a client that wants its Microsoft 365 billing split by office: the California users on one addition, the Los Angeles users on another. An OU filter on a group or license mapping counts only the members who are in the OUs you choose. It needs a company that syncs Active Directory or Google Workspace.
- Create the group or license mapping and choose its first addition: map a group or map Microsoft 365 licenses.
- On the mapping’s header, click the OU button (Include an OU Filter).
- Tick the OUs whose users should count, for example CA Users. Only members of the group or license who are in those OUs now count against this addition.
- For the next office, click the copy button on the header (Map … to an additional Agreement Addition), choose the other addition for the copy, and tick its OUs, for example LA Users.
- Perform and commit a sync, and check each addition’s count on the Review Form.
To remove the filter, delete it from the mapping; the mapping itself is kept.
