Switch External AI on or off

External AI is off for every PSA until one of its administrators switches it on. While it is off, no member can connect an AI client, Admins included. You need the Admin level.

Switch it on

1. Sign in at my.nilear.com and open Account, then AI Clients.
2. In the External AI card, click Switch on. The badge changes from Off to On.

Switching it on changes no level. Each member’s External AI level is their own level if one is set, else the External AI default, else their NilearX level; Admins are always Admin. Check the levels on the Members page before your team connects (how).

Switch it off

1. In the External AI card, click Switch off.
2. Read the warning: “Switching External AI off revokes every member’s AI clients for this PSA. Each person must connect again after it is switched back on.”
3. Click Switch off and revoke, or Cancel.

Every live connection is revoked at once and listed as Revoked: External AI switched off. The clients’ next calls are refused. Switching External AI back on does not restore them: each person connects again.

To stop one person’s client instead, revoke that connection, or set their External AI level to No Access.
