Set up tiered pricing
A tiered pricing schedule prices an addition by count ranges, for example the first 10 users at $200 each and the next 4 at $150 each, $2,600 for 14 users. Tiered pricing explains how the ranges add up.
Create a schedule
Section titled “Create a schedule”- On ConnectActive’s Tiered Pricing tab, under Create New Pricing Schedule, enter a Name and click CREATE.
- Edit the schedule’s rows. Each row has a Start, an End, a Price, a Cost and a Method: Per User or Flat Rate.
- Click SAVE.
The schedule must cover every count without gaps. ConnectActive refuses to save it and says why when:
| Message | Fix |
|---|---|
| Name is a Required Field | Enter a name. |
| … Start Value must be set to n | Start each row one after the previous row’s end. |
| … End Value cannot be less than Start Value | Correct the row’s end. |
| … Unlimited End already used on a prior schedule | Only the last row can have a blank end. |
| … Final schedule must have a blank End value to cover all remaining counts | Leave the last row’s End blank. |
| … is redundant and can be combined with the row above it | Merge the row with the one above, which has the same price and method. |
Each schedule’s Usage lists the additions it is applied to.
You can also create a schedule while editing a mapping: choose Create a Tiered Pricing under Pricing Method, name it and click CREATE.
Apply it to an addition
Section titled “Apply it to an addition”- Open the company’s Agreements page and find the mapping.
- Under Mapped Addition, choose the schedule in Pricing Method instead of Standard (Unit Price * Count).
From the next sync, ConnectActive sets the addition’s Unit Price and Unit Cost from the schedule and adds the pricing rules it applied to the invoice description. Include Full Pricing Schedule lists every range on the invoice, not only those the count reaches. Prorated additions are priced by the same schedule.
