Efficiency chips
The Time Machine shows a chip for each member listed on the Availability board: a ring chart of their day. Strips are the same day drawn as one row per member on a shared time line. See Time Machine for the Time Machine itself.
The chip
Section titled “The chip”| Part | Shows |
|---|---|
| Header | The member’s name with a dot in their Availability board colour, and their recorded time against their working day, such as “7h 15m / 8h”. |
| Outer ring | Recorded time against the working day: technical time (time on a ticket in progress counts), non-technical time, and the unused rest of the day. |
| Inner ring | How the day was spent: working on tickets, unavailable, and available. |
| Centre | Tickets resolved / tickets worked, such as 2/4. A ticket in progress counts as worked. |
Hover over a part to see its duration. A member with no working day is given an eight-hour day.
Technical and non-technical time follow your Work Types settings, which say which ConnectWise work types are technical. Under the filtered calculation rule, a planned-break allowance (one sixteenth of the working day, at most 30 minutes) is taken off the unavailable part as drawn; its hover still shows the full time.
The chip of the current day keeps up as the member works, at least once a minute.
Opening the details
Section titled “Opening the details”Clicking a part opens the member’s details for the day on the matching report: the working report from the working part, the non-working report from the inner ring’s other parts, and the time-entry report from the outer ring. Clicking the name or the counts opens the chip report.
Who sees which chips
Section titled “Who sees which chips”Members see the chips of their favourites, of the team selected, or of everyone. With Restrict Chips and Strips on Time Machine on in Settings, My Tickets, a member who is neither a Manager nor an Admin sees only their own chip. Restricting availability (how) has the same effect on chips.
