Keyboard shortcuts

Press ? anywhere outside a text field to see the keys that work on the screen you are on. Esc closes the list. A screen with no shortcuts says so.

Shortcuts never fire while you are typing in a field, and a key held with Ctrl, Alt or Cmd keeps its usual meaning. While a dialog such as the ticket summary is open, only that dialog’s keys work.

On the Tickets tab and the queue’s ticket list:

Key Does
↓ or J Highlight the next ticket.
↑ or K Highlight the previous ticket.
Enter Open the highlighted ticket.
W Work on the highlighted ticket.
/ Look up a ticket.
Esc Clear the lookup, or the selection. Works inside the lookup box too.

W starts work exactly as the Work on Ticket button does, with the same checks and messages.

Key Does
W Work on this ticket.
1 to 9 Open the summary’s first nine tabs.
M Open the More tabs menu.
/ Search the notes.
N Add a note.
E Send an email.

These keys work inside the boxes of Working Notes:

Key Where Does
Enter A working note Finish the note and start the next.
Enter A colon task’s answer Start a new line, continuing a list; on an empty list item, end the list.
Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter) Any box of a task Mark the task Done and move to the next line.
Enter A task’s text, a question task’s answer Mark the task Done and move to the next line.
↑, ↓ A multi-line answer Move between its lines; from the first or last line, to the box above or below.
