View an MFA code

Configuration Station can show the current one-time code for an account whose MFA secret you keep with a configuration, so a technician does not need the phone of whoever set the account up.

Give the configuration type a question whose name contains MFA Secret or Secret Key, in ConnectWise’s configuration type setup, and enter the account’s MFA secret as its answer on the configuration.

  1. Open the configuration, from the checklist, a ticket or MTX’s Configs tab.
  2. Beside the secret, click VIEW MFA TOKEN.
  3. The 6-digit code is shown with Time Remaining, counting down from 30 seconds, and then EXPIRED. Click the code to copy it; MFA Token Copied confirms.

The secret itself stays concealed on the page until someone clicks Display. See Data and security for where the code is worked out.
