Check and change availability
Your AI client can read your team’s MTX availability, and change yours, as MTX’s availability board does. Reading needs External AI Read Only or above; changing needs Read/Write or above. Both need MTX.
Check availability
Section titled “Check availability”Who is available right now? Who is working ticket 51331? What is my availability?
- Get availabilities lists your team, one line per member: status now and until when, work location today, and the tickets each is working. It can be narrowed to the members working a ticket or holding it in PSR, or to one or more statuses, such as Available. It lists at most 500 members.
- Get availability shows one member in full, yourself by default: status with since and until when, work location and its name, today’s working window, the tickets they are working and hold in PSR, their active role, and whether they work without tickets.
A status whose end has passed reads as Available. Times are given in UTC.
You see the same members as on MTX’s availability board. If your administrators set your Availability status to See own only, or restrict availability for everyone, you see only your own; members hidden from the board are left out. Administrators and Managers see everyone.
Change availability
Section titled “Change availability”Set me to Lunch until 12:30. I’m working from home today.
Set availability changes, for yourself by default:
- the status: Available, Lunch, Away from keyboard, Do not disturb, Meeting, On the phone, Out of office, PTO, Off or Other, with an optional end up to 30 days ahead. Available ends the current status;
- the work location: Office, Home, On the road, Remote, Other (with a name of up to 40 characters), or none;
- the active role, up to 30 characters, or none.
The change is made exactly as MTX’s availability board makes it, with the same rules and defaults, including any In/Out Board entry or time entry MTX makes in ConnectWise when your company uses that. MTX refuses what the board refuses, for example Lunch while you have a ticket In Progress, and says why. For PTO, Off or Other, MTX may ask which In/Out type to use; the client asks you.
To change a colleague’s availability, name them. MTX decides whether you may: you always may change your own, and another member’s only if your availability settings on the Members page allow it (they never restrict Administrators and Managers).
